Wen-M+Anima-Birds of a Feather

Title: "Birds of a Feather" (Japanese says: Same-feathered Birds Gather to Flock - although I'm not sure if the meaning of the English phrase really translates...) ^_____^ I love bird characters!


AAAH! This was a true art marathon for me! And I finished!

This is my fanart entry for `Wen-M 's Anima contest that just ended yesterday (I'm happy we get to post them today XD ). I started out with an entry by hand (and it wasn't going very well...), but then went and killed me with friend love, giving me A TABLET for my birthday. O_O This artwork wouldn't have been possible without her. THANK YOU FOREVER MIKEY. So I got to start over and digital painted fanart of two of Wen-M's awesome RPG character designs, Shira-Ou-Saya Kujaku (seen here [link] ) and Takanosuke (seen here [link] ) . SUCH....GREAT....CHARACTER....DESIGN.... I want to do art as great as him someday.

I wanted to think of these two as a secret couple because they probably fight together. That would make a wonderful side story - and that's what RPG's are for, right? Oh, and because I couldn't make out all of the eye patch design from the reference, I improvised on it and put an actual eagle eye into it there (heheh he's really got the sight)... I gave him a eagle foot and talons earring too :3 I'd like to think of the portraits being on Takanosuke's scarf and everything laid on the cloth of Kujaku's kimono. The panels in the middle are fanart of his pants and her obi. Oye, I put way too much thought into this XD
