Here is my take on Sailor Cosmos, the first new fanart of 2011 as picked by you in my last poll!
So, SPOILER WARNING - Cosmos is only really in the manga and is supposed to be the ultimate form of Sailor Moon, but she exists alongside a different Eternal Sailor Moon at the final battle. As she says herself, "I am coward who ran away from where I should have been." I find her existence really poignant and sad, her ultimate mistake rendering her essentially powerless and alone. Hence, I drew her here without her symbols of power, her cape and her staff.
Naoko Takeuchi seems to really embrace "do-overs" though in this series, so Cosmos comes back as Chibi Chibi to help rewrite the future. I love Cosmos and the series very much, but I really think somethings can't be undone. So I always regard this character with sadness and guilt.
END SPOILERS :3 As for the drawing itself, I found a great pose in a little magazine to help inspire this. And since so many of the special features of her costume are obscured (and I didn't include the cape), I put the rainbow ribbons from the front of her skirt on her sailor collar and switched the feathers on the inside of her heels to the outside. I ended up forgetting the long front ribbons. Hope you like her!
Cosmos belongs to Naoko Takeuchi.
